Oh by the way, my name is Ilka, and I have been a huntergirl for quite some time now. I write fanfiction like most of the girls on this forum and am glad I found another German on here. Being the only one truly isn't that bad, I love the others to bits, but still, I'm glad you found your way here!
And don't worry about grammar and spelling and all that crap. We all share a common interest and being on the forum, getting into contact, writing these posts will make you gradually more comfortable. After all, the huntergirls are a nice bunch, they're some of the lovliest people I have met and I have never regretted the day they took me in!
So, welcome to the forums and feel free to contact me.

By the way, I am going to Asylum Europe in May next year. Just let me know if you will attend the convention, too, and we could hook up... again, only if you want to! It's a free country!

Hey Jenni,

on here, English would be best as it would be very rude to communicate in a lanuguage only the two of us get! For private messaging I'd go with ever language you choose.

Yeah, Asylum is a costly event and I need to save up for that. I'm an educator in the afternoon at a primary school here, so only a part-time employment. Means also half the money, heh.

re fanfiction: I write my fics in English and I never thought I could do it in the first place. But the others encouraged me to give it a try. Luckily I have some great friends to help me with odd choices of words or grammar issues and collogial English (suck out loud at that). After all, I couldn't even do it in German as I only ever watched one episode in German (and it was my least ever episode to boot! BUGS *gags*) and that means that I don't know their German idioms well enough to write according to their characters. Plus, I think the show is like a thousand times better in the original version and I hate their German voices... *gags*

I tried writing German original fiction a long time ago but gave up on that. It felt too weird. So, when I started reading fanfic (which I had always regarded as a silly thing to do before I knew how talented some of the writers truly are!) I gave it a shot and tried writing in English for a change. I found it surprisingly easy to do. Not easy as in "hey it's a piece of cake" but easy in the way that I felt good while doing it. English seems to be just the right language for me to write in as the words do reverberate with me on a very emotional and creative level.

Okay, so just nudge me if there's anything you wanna know. In German or in English!

I'm pleased you two have hooked up. It's good to hear you write fanfic too Jenni, in whatever language - those boys are just so much fun to play with!! lol
Let us know if you're ever over in the UK, Ilka manages to come visit once in a while - which is always cause for celebration involving cider!! We get together every couple of months just so we can have a bit of Supernatural overdosing...as I say, if you're ever over here, we'd love to see you!
Right, I'm now off to bed - up early on a college trip in the morning ( I am a Learning support assistant with a bunch of mechanics) so I'd better get some rest and go dream of my Dean!!
