Dollshouse

If anyone knows me they will know my deep passionate love for all things Joss Whedon related (creator of Buffy, Angel & Firefly), he rocks my world and is like a god to me. Although I'm sure his new TV series Dollshouse will get cancelled (damn meaners at Fox!!!) I still have to plug it like crazy. The shows starts airing in the States on Friday the 13th (gonna clash with Jared's movie, ekkkk) and will star Eliza in lead role (Faith from Buffy). I can't wait to see Joss back on the small screen, and hope everyone here will give the show a chance and watch it when it airs in the UK. I LOVE YOU WHEDON! xox

Well I thought the Pilot was really good, slick, I hope it gets time to really develop as the initial ideas are very strong and the cast are really good, HANDS OFF FOX

So what's it about?

Basically its a secret agency (The Dollhouse) that implants personalities on the characters/agents (all girls by the way) for specific jobs, like in the first episode it was hostage negotiation so Eliza was programmed with that personality, at the end of the job there memory is whiped and they have no personality until the next job, the pilot was really good and I recommend it highly

I loved Buffy and Angel too, particularly the whole Vampire with a soul idea... they were two extremely well made series. I never got to watch Firefly, did it air over here? If so, I must have missed it, guess I'll have to look out for it on dvd.

Any idea when/if The Dollhouse will be showing over here? Sounds pretty good.

Im not sure about a UK airdate, ill pop it on a Data Dsic for you and include it with your 5 CDs so you can watch the pilot

Watched the pilot of 'Dollhouse' a few days ago, I like the start and I'm actually quite intrigued already about what's going to happen and who the creepy guy in the end is. Really like Eliza in most things I've seen her in, looking forward to tomorrow, it's when the next ep airs aint it?!

Hope it doesn't get cancelled, Joss has a five yr plan!

Just to let you know the discs all arrrived safely this morning, I've not had a chance to play them yet, but I can't wait for my next long car journey to listen to them all in one go...
think I'll wait for the kids to go to bed before i put on Nip/Tuck, I'm sooo looking forward to that one. Now we know why Castiel wear that long mac!!

Giggles! Awwwwwww, I've missed you gals so much!!! And Rob, I need to see that epi of Nip/Tuck too. Well hopefully by now you have all seen 1 episode of Dollhouse, I'm personally in love with it already, but it is Joss's new show so go figure, lol. I'm loving the way its shaping up so far, can't wait to see Episode 3, Marco told me it wasn't too great, but then did explain that it was done by a first time writer who happens to be married to Joss's brother Zach, so what better place for her to start out than under Joss's wing and watchful eye, lucky chicka!

Based entirely on your impecable taste and recommend I sent off for and have just recieved my copies of Firefly and Serenity... All I need now is to find the time to watch them, maybe when Season 4 ends and I'm cast into a pit of depression, until I realise it's only a couple of weeks after that that we go to Asylum 3!!!!
OMG how freakin' exciting!! lol
Anyway, I'm looking forward to watching them before too long.

Wow, this show sounds very cool, from what you wrote about the show Rob it reminds me of the first Matrix movie when Trinity and Neo go to rescue Morpheus and use a helicopter to rescue him but as they dont know how to fly it Trinity asks Apoc to download the programme to her memory to allow her to be able to fly it.

Love Joss Whedons work, he really is a god when it comes to great TV viewing and I wish him every success
